Yuki Goto: Shining on the frontlines as a race queen admired by women everywhere. A deep dive into her journey and the hard work behind her success!

In September 2023, we issued a press release about our partnership with Yuki Goto on PR Times. This time, we’ve had the opportunity to dig deeper into Yuki Goto’s charm and her journey as an influencer.

Yuki Goto is an influencer with about 44,000 followers on Instagram, primarily known for her work as a race queen. She shares the appeal of various brands and products with her fans through her social media.

Looking at your Instagram, your glamorous race queen photos really stand out. Was being a race queen a childhood dream of yours?

Yuki Goto
Actually, I started with event hostess work during my university days. I was approached at a school festival, and that’s what led me to this career.

Nexter
So, you started as an event hostess. How did you transition into working as a race queen?

Yuki Goto
While continuing to work as an event hostess, I began to feel like I wanted to try something new. That’s when I decided to challenge myself and try becoming a race queen, which had a glamorous image. Eventually, I started getting more opportunities to work as an influencer as well, and that’s how I got to where I am today.

Nexter
I see! Becoming a race queen has always been a dream job for many, both in the past and now.

It’s a glamorous world, but I imagine the reality is not as easy as it seems. Everyone around you is beautiful and slim, and there must have been times when you’ve received comments about your body, making you feel like giving up. Did you ever face any struggles like that?

Yuki Goto
Yes, absolutely. The pressure to stay in shape during the season was really tough at first. I also had moments when photos of my body that I wasn’t happy with were shared on social media, and it spread quickly. That was really painful.

Nexter
That sounds really tough… but it seems like you turned it into motivation. How did you overcome that?

Yuki Goto
It was honestly really frustrating, but I used that as fuel to push myself and eventually lowered my body fat percentage by 6%!

Nexter
Wow, 6%? That’s amazing—such a great achievement!

Yuki Goto
Thank you! I love drinking, and when I posted about it on Instagram Stories, my fans started recognizing me as the “race queen who loves alcohol.” (laughs)

Nexter
It’s well-known that you love alcohol! What’s your drink of choice?

Yuki Goto
I’m a big fan of beer. I always start with a beer as my first drink. It’s a bit of a ritual for me.

Nexter
That’s a fun contrast to your glamorous image! And yet, you manage to maintain your figure—really impressive!

Yuki Goto
Thank you!

Nexter
As a race queen and influencer who loves alcohol, do you have any plans for the future? What do you hope to achieve in 10 years?

Yuki Goto
Like I mentioned earlier, I’d love to work on projects related to health, body management, and alcohol-related products. I’m really interested in product planning and marketing for health-related items.

Nexter
That makes sense! Maintaining a healthy body while enjoying alcohol is quite a challenge, but you’d be an excellent spokesperson for those kinds of products.

Yuki Goto
Yes, I’d love to work with companies that focus on those areas. For me, social media is a part of my everyday life. Also, I started learning photography in April this year. I’m still a beginner, but I want to improve my skills and use them for shooting product photos that highlight the qualities of products and services in PR work. I’d love to develop my photography skills and use them more professionally!

You’ve started learning photography? That’s fantastic! I’ve noticed that your posts feel very well thought out and carefully crafted.

Yuki Goto
Thank you! I try to think about the concept for each post and pay attention to details, like changing the focus. For example, after a post featuring myself, I might post a photo with a car to bring more attention to the car. I’m constantly experimenting and trying new things! (laughs)

Nexter
As someone who’s usually in front of the camera, you probably have a unique perspective on how to capture and present things. This article, along with the PR Times feature, could catch the attention of businesses, and it would be great to see more opportunities for you in alcohol, health, and photography!

Yuki Goto
Actually, photography is still just a hobby for me, so I haven’t worked professionally in that field yet…

Nexter
That’s understandable, but as someone who is often photographed, I think your interest in photography adds a fascinating layer to your work. Personally, I’m really interested in it, too! I tried learning photography by watching professional tutorials on YouTube, but I found it a bit confusing at first. (laughs)

Yuki Goto
I felt the same way not long ago, but I asked professional photographers I worked with for advice, practiced, and learned a lot from them. Now I just enjoy shooting what I want to shoot.
