It’s not just about livening up Okayama Prefecture! ? Influencer Suzu Asayama, who represents female riders, is the president of the company, and the faces and thoughts of each influencer

This time, we took a deeper look into the charm of one of Okayama’s most renowned female riders, Suzu Asayama.

Nexter
Thank you for making time for us despite your busy schedule with various activities.

Suzu Asayama
It’s my pleasure, thank you!

Nexter
It’s amazing to see a female influencer sharing the appeal of motorcycles. This is the first time we’ve met.

Suzu Asayama
Thank you! It’s pretty rare, isn’t it? (laughs)

Nexter
Of course, there are many women who love motorcycles, but I myself don’t even have a car license, so my knowledge is quite limited…
As an ambassador for Bike King, I hope today’s interview helps share a bit of the charm of motorcycles with the person in charge.

Suzu Asayama
I hope so too!

Nexter
And not only are you into motorcycles, but you’re also the CEO of a live streaming company and the official PR ambassador for Tsuyama City in Okayama Prefecture… Your activities are incredibly diverse!

Suzu Asayama
It’s definitely kept me busy, but in a fulfilling way! (laughs)

Nexter
I can really feel the positive attitude of those in the spotlight, and how they can enjoy being busy.

Suzu Asayama
Maybe I’m just positive? (laughs) I think seeing people around me smile makes me happy, so that desire to create more opportunities for that is probably what drives me now.

Nexter
That’s wonderful. As an influencer, you must have many shoots and live streaming duties. And you’re also representing the live streaming company. You even do live streaming yourself, right? I can’t imagine you ever having enough hours in a day!

Suzu Asayama
As the CEO, I can’t just delegate live streaming—I have to do it myself! (laughs)

Nexter
How did you end up in the world of live streaming and motorcycles? What led you to your current activities?

Suzu Asayama
My journey? (laughs) How far back should I go? I kind of just ended up here without realizing it… (laughs)

Nexter
Let’s start from when you first began stepping into the public eye.

Suzu Asayama
Originally, I worked as a model, and since SNS was getting popular, I thought I’d give it a try.

Nexter
So your start was actually quite like any regular user. Considering your current achievements, such as being a company CEO, I thought you might have approached SNS more strategically.

Suzu Asayama
At that time, I was fully focused on modeling, and I didn’t think about doing anything strategically or with a plan.

Nexter
Lately, there are more people trying to go viral by making controversial or extreme statements, just for attention.

Suzu Asayama
Yes, that’s true. I’ve never done that, and I never will. Honestly, when it comes to SNS, I didn’t have a strategic approach. If I had to put it into words, I just want people who see my posts to smile or feel like they’ve gained something from it. That’s really my focus.

Nexter
You’re right—rather than using gimmicks, making people smile is the real strategy. That’s probably the essence of it.

Suzu Asayama
I’ve gone through more difficult experiences than most, so I want people to know that even those who have struggled can live with joy and smile. And I want those who follow me to feel that way too. I believe that’s what shapes my current work and who I am as a person.

Nexter
Now, going back to your role as an influencer—why did you choose to focus on motorcycles?

Suzu Asayama
It all started with a prank video on my YouTube channel, where I first came in contact with motorcycles.

Nexter
A prank? (laughs)

Suzu Asayama
Yes! (laughs) For more details, please check out the video! (laughs) After that, I experienced the thrill of riding, and I immediately wanted to get my motorcycle license.

Nexter
You’re talking about it as casually as if you were getting a passport! (laughs) You’re incredibly decisive.

Suzu Asayama
Well, it truly felt like a fateful encounter with motorcycles. They were just so appealing.

Nexter
That’s amazing! And then you went ahead and bought your own bike?

Suzu Asayama
Yes! I actually own five bikes now. (laughs)

Nexter
F-five bikes!?

Suzu Asayama
Yes! (laughs) There are so many different types of motorcycles, with different sizes and features. People often have multiple bikes for different purposes, as each one has its own characteristics.

Nexter
Five is quite a lot!

Suzu Asayama
I agree! But if I were living in a city like Tokyo, it might be difficult to store that many. However…

Nexter
However?

Suzu Asayama
In Okayama, the barrier to owning several bikes is much lower!

Nexter
Here’s the perfect opportunity for some PR for Okayama! (laughs)

Suzu Asayama
Sorry about that! (laughs)

Nexter
With your growing popularity, especially in Okayama Prefecture’s Tsuyama City, it seems like your character has been well accepted, and it led to your role as an official PR ambassador. Do you get many opportunities related to motorcycles, or even other types of projects?

Suzu Asayama
Are you asking if there are any genres I haven’t tried yet? I’ve been thinking about doing something in the hotel sector. For example, maybe a vlog where a female rider goes on a bike road trip, exploring hotels and the region’s charms. I wonder if there’s a demand for that?

Nexter
That sounds great! It would work well with Tsuyama’s hotels too.

Suzu Asayama
Thank you!

Nexter
Also, a Vlog about your route from Okayama to Tokyo could be very interesting. You could collaborate with companies along the way!

Suzu Asayama
That’s a great idea!

Nexter
I’ll start researching companies along the Okayama-Tokyo route that might be a good fit for you. Thank you for today’s interview.

Suzu Asayama
Of course! I’m looking forward to it!
